Clay Earth Research Project is the exploration of clay by Brooklyn-based ceramicist, Hayley Cranberry Small. Hayley creates functional sculptures whose forms are both dramatic yet delicate—severe yet sensitive—recognizing the body's natural beauty and imperfections. Many of her sculptures build on themes of the sick/chronically ill experience and the relationship between humans and their environment.
