'Tokio' Lamp by Shigeaki Asahara for Stilnovo (c. 1980).
 
Winner of the Compasso d'Oro, the most prestigious design award in Italy, 'Tokio' is one of Asahara's personal favorite designs. It is also in the permanent collection at the Brooklyn Museum.
